What to do When a Creditor Calls

No News Isn't Always Good News

Don't make the mistake of thinking that just because you don't hear from a creditor your problems are over. While the FDCPA goes a long way toward protecting you from harassment, it will not make your bills disappear. Depending on the terms of your agreement with a creditor, collection efforts will probably continue and that could result in legal judgements against you. In other words, ignoring the problem will only make it worse.
