If creditors are giving you a headache, CCCS will help you get relief with our Debt Management Plan (or DMP). The DMP offers a realistic alternative to bankruptcy. It’s not a loan, so your credit history doesn’t matter, and you won’t have to acquire new debt to pay the old. The DMP is a personalized plan that helps you pay your bills within a sane and workable budget — and in only one simple payment a month.
Your Debt Counseling Session
CCCS counselors are nationally certified and trained to offer an in-depth analysis of your financial situation. Whether you want to meet in person, conduct the appointment over the Internet, on the telephone or through the mail, your private counselor will work with you to determine a debt repayment schedule you can really live with. If you decide to become a DMP client, you’re in for an extra bonus. Because we have a national reputation for excellence, most creditors will offer to help by reducing or eliminating interest charges and late fees on your accounts. Now that’s debt relief!
Make Just One Monthly Payment
CCCS clients have the added benefit of making one lump-sum payment to CCCS each month toward your repayment plan. We forward these funds onto your creditors in keeping with your personalized DMP. CCCS wants to help you get out–and keep out–of debt. Because the key to a solid financial future is education, CCCS now requires all DMP clients to enroll in an innovative money management program called Better Fortunes. Clients can choose to attend the class at the CCCS office, or self-study at home. Additional family members may take course for $30.
